In 2012 & 2018 the City of Wausau, Wisconsin, USA surveyed over 1,100 Wausau-area residents to ask, "Which national restaurant chain would you like to come to Wausau?"
Overwhelmingly, both times, Red Lobster was #1. With no Red Lobster in sight, in April of 2024 (prior to bankruptcy) The Wausau Business Show began a quest, on their weekly one-hour Economic Development radio show, to finally get Wausonians the Cheddar Biscuits they desire. The show airs on 98.9 Bull Falls Radio and on Spotify & Apple Podcasts every Saturday.
